Football Player
    (April 14, 1995- )
    Born in Austin, Texas
Drafted 1st overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft
    Quarterback for the Cleveland Browns
    Attended Texas Tech University
Transferred to the University of Oklahoma (2014)
    Heisman Trophy Winner (2017)
He left Texas Tech after one year as a result of miscommunications with the coaching staff.
He sparked a controversy after he planted an Oklahoma Sooners flag in the center logo at Ohio State University, following a Sooners victory over the Buckeyes.
He was caught on camera grabbing his crotch screaming 'Fuck You' to the University of Kansas head coach during a nationally televised game.
His questionable behavior at Oklahoma led many football pundits to label him as a selfish jerk.
Following his decision to transfer to Oklahoma, the NCAA instituted the 'Baker Mayfield Rule', which prevents walk-on players from receiving the same perks as scholarship players.
He was arrested for public intoxication (February 25, 2017).
He made the Texas Tech football team as a walk on during his freshman year.
He set a new Texas Tech school record for most completions by a freshman.
He is the first walk-on player in NCAA history to win the Heisman Trophy.
Despite the criticism he received in college for his conduct, he was described as being a fun teammate.
He was viewed as being a surprise first overall selection, given the fact the Browns passed on fellow quarterbacks Josh Allen and Sam Darnold in order to take him.
