Why they might be annoying:

They are a one hit wonder.
Though most interpret 'How Long' as a betrayal of love the song is about Comer briefly quitting to join another band.
They moved to the U.S. in 1976 in hopes of creating another hit song, but it didn't happen and they disbanded a year later.
Though they had but one hit they felt the need to release the album 'How Long - The Best of Ace.'

Why they might not be annoying:

They started as 'Ace Flash & the Dynamos,' but realized the name was too wordy a quickly shortened it.
'How Long' was a Top 20 hit in the U.K. and reached #3 in the U.S in 1975.
Admirers of their music include Boz Scaggs and Steely Dan.
Carrack has gone on to work with Squeeze, Eric Clapton and Mike + the Mechanics.
