    Played professionally for Mediolanum Gonzaga (1989-91) and Brescia (1992-93) in the Italian League and HAOK Mladost Zagreb in Croatia (1993-94)
    Played four-man beach volleyball for Bud Light (1994)
    Inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame (2007)
    Named Vice-President of the US Olympic Committee (2006)
    Last name pronounced stuh-vert-lick (accent of the 2nd syllable)
    His last name has a serious vowel deficiency.
    He did not play 6-on-6 volleyball until his freshman year in college.
    He was captain of the US volleyball team that finished a disappointing 7th at the Atlanta Olympics (1996).
