He is remembered for giving a 'full endorsement' to the Tom Emanski baseball training video, often shown and spoofed on ESPN.
He was traded many times because he disappointed the front office with fair home run totals.
He blamed his home team stadium's dimensions for his lack of homers.
He was signed by the Yankees, but was traded before he could suit up.
His last name sounds too much like McGruff, the crime dog.
