The Resume

    (December 21, 1980- )
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom
    Birth name was Louise Hay
Appeared in the films 'The Echo' (2008), 'She Wants Me' (2012), 'Cabin Fever' (2016), 'Intruder' (2016) and 'Rules Don't Apply' (2016)
Married Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin (June 24, 2017)

Why she might be annoying:

She self-published a book about spending her gap year in Zambia that one reviewer declared employed ‘just about every lazy trope there is when it comes to writing about Africa.’
Numerous inaccuracies in the book inspired the hashtag #LintonLies.
After a trip with Mnuchin to Fort Knox, Kentucky, she posted on Instagram a photo of herself getting off a government plane, with hashtags highlighting her designer clothes and accessories (August 21, 2017).
After another Instagram user commented, ‘Glad we could pay for your little getaway,’ she channeled her inner Marie Antoinette to dismiss her critic as ‘adorably out of touch’ and ask ‘Have you given more to the economy than me and my husband? Either as an individual earner in taxes OR in self-sacrifice to your country?’
She also defended the trip as government business (presumably the whole ‘landing at a perfect spot to witness the solar eclipse’ thing was a wacky coincidence), adding, ‘Did you think the US govt paid for our honeymoon or personal travel? Lololol.’
It turned out that if the government had not paid for their honeymoon, it wasn’t for lack of trying: a few weeks after her Instagram tiff, it was revealed that Mnuchin had requested a military jet to fly him and Linton on their European honeymoon.
She did much of her apologizing for her outburst in Washington Life’s ‘Balls and Galas’ issue, thus accompanying her sorry’s with a series of photos of her in even more high-fashion outfits.

Why she might not be annoying:

She did a shower scene that exposed her breasts in ‘Intruder.’
She was honored at the Scotland Style Awards as the country’s ‘most stylish woman.’ (2009)
She adopted three chihuahuas from shelters.
She apologized if her memoir about Zambia had caused offense and announced she would donate any profits from it to charity.
She conceded, ‘I see the irony of making an apology in a ballgown. But it would be dishonest to proclaim that I’m never going to another social function.’
