Why Bill of Rights might be annoying:

    It weakens the government and burdens individuals with responsibilities.
    Alexander Hamilton argued it was irrelevant because Americans did not surrender any rights.
    Alexander Hamilton also felt it was dangerous because it numbered rights and those not mentioned could be taken away.
    Two of the original 12 amendments were rejected.
    Connecticut, Georgia, and Massachusetts did not ratify the bill of rights until 1939.
