She has self-confidence, eschewing scarves, wigs, etc, letting her true self show.

Her medical condition actually works to her advantage in swimming.
She has been recognized by her team mates for her dedication, perseverance and team spirit.
She reaches out to kids who have alopecia, so that they can be confident in themselves too.
