Baseball Player

The Resume

    (December 27, 1963- )
    Born in Lakewood, Ohio
    Major Leaguer (June 8, 1990-September 13, 2000)
Catcher/First Baseman for New York Yankees (1990-1996, 1999-2000) Anaheim Angels (1997), Texas Rangers (1997), Boston Red Sox (1998), San Diego Padres (1998-1999) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2000)
    World Series Champ (1996, 1999)
Hosts MLB Radio Daily on MLB Radio

Why he might be annoying:

He admitted to Opie and Anthony that he used amphetamines after his 2001 shoulder surgery (June 8, 2006).
While driving drunk after celebrating his 44th birthday, he jumped a stop sign and crashed into Fredia Ann Veitch, who was thrown from her car and was killed (December 28, 2007).
He refused to take a breathalyzer test.
His date for that evening was Erica Chevillar, the teacher who resigned after her bikini photos on the internet, became public. She eventually ended up in Playboy magazine (2007).
    His nickname was the King.
The Yankees will retire his #13 uniform, but not because of him; it is worn by Alex Rodriguez.
He had a strange batting stance.
Despite hitting huge home runs in the post season, he only batted .213.

Why he might not be annoying:

He hit a World Series momentum changing home run. The Yankees trailed 2 games to 1 and were losing 6-3 in the 8th inning at the time (October 23, 1996).
That home run is credited as launching the Yankees dynasty of the late 1990's.
He was not superstitious and wore #13.
He hit the very last home run prior to 2000 (Game 4 of the 1999 World Series).
He was a mediocre player but shined with major home runs in the playoffs and World Series spotlight.
He hit a walk-off home run in the 15th inning to win game 2 of the AL Divisional series (1995).
He was a fan favorite and would often walk the streets and talk to fans after the game.
He was the most consistent .268 hitter, and he never had a season in which he batted 10 points higher or 10 points lower.
Many of his Florida neighbors were unaware he played baseball.
