    His wife is nearly three decades younger than him.
    After a degree in Literature and an MA in history, he quickly abandoned his historian's vocation for drawing and writing.
    He writes screenplays for films that are very surreal and confusing.
    His parents were peasants.
    He won an a Best Short Subject in 1963 for 'Heureux Anniversaire.'
    He has worked with prolific directors such as Louis Malle, Milos Forman, and Jean-Luc Godard.
    His works often display the different facets of human nature and its polymorphic expressions.
    In 2015, he was acknowledged with an Honorary Academy Award.
