He published the first TMNT comic book using a $1,000 loan from his uncle.
He and Laird merchandised the crap out of the Turtles.
He lost $14 million by founding Tundra Publishing and the Words & Picture Museum for comic book art.
He said the Turtle he most identifies with is Raphael, because 'He's always the one who gets pissed off.'
Why he might not be annoying
He and Laird created one of the most successful self-published comics of all-time.
He married 'Queen of the B Movies' Julie Strain.
He said of the Turtles' enduring popularity, 'I love that moms and dads say that they watched it when they were kids and now they are enjoying it with their kids.'
