    Birth name is Lawrencia Bembenek
    Former Milwaukee, Wisconsin police officer
    Convicted of murdering Christine Schultz, her husband’s ex-wife
    Escaped from prison (July 15, 1990) and fled to Canada
    Extradited to the US after three months
    Released in 1992 after serving 10 years

Why she might be annoying:

    Several witnesses testified that she had talked about killing Schultz.
    She reportedly wanted Schultz dead so her husband would not have to pay alimony and would have more money for her.
    She claimed she was innocent but when she was granted a retrial, she plead guilty to reduced charges of second degree murder.
    She was convicted of marijuana possession.
    She filed for bankruptcy.
    She was the subject of dueling made-for-TV movies, ‘Woman on the Run’ on NBC and ‘Calendar Girl, Cop Killer?’ on ABC.

Why she might not be annoying:

    Before her arrest, she worked at a Playboy Club.
    Schultz’s son saw the murder and testified that Bembenek was not the killer.
    A judicial review of her case concluded that the police had committed seven serious errors during their investigation.
    While in prison, she enrolled in college and graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin.
    She claims to have been confined to an apartment against her will by handlers for the Dr. Phil show (2002).
    While trying to escape, she fell from a window and broke her leg so badly it had to be amputated.
