    (June 28, 1891-September 5, 1930)
Hanged in Leavenworth Federal Prison, Leavenworth, Kansas
Aliases include: Jeferson Bladwin, Jefferson Davis, Jeff Davis, Jeff Rhodes, John O'Leary and John King
By his own admittance, he killed 21 people and committed sodomy on over 1000 men, including young boys.
He often boasted about the murders and rapes and was always willing to do more.
He was a pyromaniac, frequently burning churches and prison property.
    He was an alcoholic.
He has a large tattoo of a boat’s anchor on his left forearm, another anchor with an eagle and the head of a Chinese man on his right forearm, and two eagles on his chest with the words “LIBERTY and JUSTICE” tattooed underneath their wings.
He robbed houses often taking money and handguns.
He robbed the house of former President William H. Taft, who sentenced Panzram for crimes years earlier when he was secretary of war.
While working for an oil company in Africa, he lured six men to take him into the Jungle to hunt. He shot and killed all of them and fed the bodies to crocodiles.
He purposely broke rules in jail despite knowing he would be severely beaten and tortured.
He said: 'You will find that I have consistently followed one idea through all my life. I preyed upon the weak, the harmless and the unsuspecting.'
He said: 'In my lifetime I have broken every law that was ever made by both man and God. If either had made any more, I should very cheerfully have broken them also.'
He said: 'I have no desire whatever to reform myself. My only desire is to reform people who try to reform me, and I believe that the only way to reform people is to kill ‘em!'
As the executioner prepared to hang him he said: 'Hurry up you bastard, I could kill 10 men while you’re fooling around!'
He coined the phrase 'Might makes right.'
    He's dead.
As a child he was a victim of beatings by teachers and his siblings.
He was gang raped by four men as a teenager.
While in reform school and in prison, he was often savagely beaten and tortured.
He escaped from prison many times.
In one of his escapes, he broke his ankles and injured his back during a fall. He was never treated for the injuries and served his 5 year sentence in constant agony. This left him permanently crippled.
When they finally moved him to the prison hospital, they removed one of his testicles.
He represented himself in his trial.
When he was convicted he told the judge 'Visit Me!'
In his last stint in jail, a guard befriended him and gave him a $1 to buy cigarettes and food. Panzram considered this the only act of kindness he ever received. He agreed to let the guard write a biography about him.
He worked on a farm as a boy, and because of this he could not read well, which led to beatings in Reform School.
It is difficult to judge which is worse, the crimes he performed or the mistreatment he was on the receiving end of.
