    Created the graphic novels 'One! Hundred! Demons!' (2002), 'What It Is' (2008) and 'Picture This: The Nearsighted Monkey Book' (2010)
    She said, 'I was not an especially likable kid. I was oversensitive and freaked out easily and I looked like Alfred E. Neuman.'
    'Ernie Pook's Comeek' was first published without her knowledge in the Evergreen State College school paper by fellow student Matt Groening.
    She dated Ira Glass and called it 'The worst thing I ever did.'
    With the collapse of the alternative press, 'Ernie Pook's Comeek' now runs in fewer than ten papers.
    Groening dedicated his early 'Life in Hell' books to her.
    Glass admitted about their relationship, 'Anything bad she says about me I can confirm.'
    She teaches creative writing workshops during which, the New York Times noted, she 'sings, tells jokes, acts out characters and even dances a creditably sensual hula.'
    She said, 'Humor is a wonderful thing, helping you realize what a fool you are but how beautiful that is at the same time.'
