Last Shah of Iran (1941-1953, 1953-1979)
Forced into exile by Iranian prime minister Mohammed Mossadeq (1953)
Returned to power through a coup led by the U.S. (1953)
Overthrown and exiled for a second time (January 16, 1979)
Fled to Egypt under the sanctuary of President Anwar Sadat

Why he might be annoying:

He married three times.
He abolished all other political parties.
He set up a secret police force, SAVAK, to put down any opposition to his rule.
His modernization of Iran angered many Islamic fundamentalists.
Months after he said, 'Nobody can overthrow me,' he was overthrown.
He was replaced by Ayatollah Khomeini (1979).
He was extremely hated by his people, who wanted him executed.
He took temporary refuge in the U.S., causing Iranians to hate America even more.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was educated at the Military College in Tehran.
He opened up greater trade with the United States.
He instituted policies of greater suffrage to Iranian women.
Iran's economy was very strong under his rule.
He died from non-Hodgkin's lymphomas.
