    Appeared in the 'Star Trek' episode 'Who Mourns for Adonais?' (1967)
    She was a piano student at the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music before giving it up for modeling.
    She started modeling and acting under her birth name, later adopting a stage name at the suggestion of the producers of 'Li'l Abner.'
    During her marriage to 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull' author Richard Bach, she became increasingly New Age-y, claiming to have astral projection abilities and to have experienced psychic events.
    She and Bach held workshops on how to find your 'soulmate' -- and then got divorced.
    She started as the 'NBC color girl,' posing for hours in front of still-experimental color cameras as the engineers adjusted the tints and lighting (1954).
    She joined the Holmes Repertory Company, a group of movie actors who presented plays at local theaters to hone their acting talents.
    She was clubbed by an LAPD officer during an anti-war rally (1967).
    She was named to a blue-ribbon citizen's committee making recommendations for the administration of mayor-elect Tom Bradley (1973).
