Why he might be annoying:

    His first names vaguely sounds like 'wafer.'
    While playing streetball basketball in his youth, he was often referred to as 'Skip to My Lou.'
    The first pro basketball team he played for was one from the inferior Continental Basketball Association.
    He was a journeyman player.
    He was traded from the Raptors to the Heat. He would then return to Toronto the following season.
    He was criticized for his attitude during his time with the Raptors.
    He was arrested in downtown Houston on misdemeanor charges of assault and public intoxication (August 5, 2007).
    Weeks later, he was arrested again on charges of allegedly slashing a man on the neck during a nightclub altercation (though there was never evidence to prove that he did commit the crime).
    He was charged with DWI one year later.

Why he might not be annoying:

    During a 2004 Miami Heat game, he scored a game winning shot at the buzzer.
    Jeff Van Gundy was able to transform Alston from a bad boy to an efficient and productive player while with the Rockets.
    He recorded nine steals during a 2007 Rockets game.
    He proved to be a valuable substitute for Jameer Nelson during the remainder of the 2008-2009 season.
