    In her will, his mother only left him a tea set, a baby chair, and a painting of him ‘because of his unbearable conduct toward me.’
    He was expelled from multiple schools.
    He was married three times, divorced twice.
    He racked up multiple arrests for driving under the influence and being drunk and disorderly.
    He was charged with the armed robbery of two cab drivers (1954).
    He pioneered the child-of-a-celebrity tell-all with his memoir, ‘My Father – My Son.’ (1958)
    He undermined his health through abusing alcohol, dying barely a year after his father.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was acquitted on the armed robbery charges.
    He was a good friend (and occasional lover) of Marilyn Monroe.
    In his posthumously published autobiography, his father admitted to having been ‘cold and disciplinary’ as a parent.
