Why Nintendo might be annoying:

They whore out their Mario franchise (ex. Mario Party, Mario Golf, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, etc.).
Their first arcade game, 'Radarscope' was a huge failure (1980).
They frequently release new improved versions of their handhelds.
They were sued by Universal Pictures for making their game 'Donkey Kong' too similar to the film 'King Kong.'

Why Nintendo might not be annoying:

They revived the video game industry after a huge slump in the early 80's.
They are the most recognizable and popular video game franchise.
Many features (such as the analog stick) were pioneered by Nintendo.
They have a devoted fan following.
Their consoles are usually cheaper and more durable than their competition.
The PlayStation was released as a result of a broken deal between Sony and Nintendo to release a CD-ROM add-on for the Super NES.
