    His coaching career was a disaster.
    His NFL debut and first game of the season records stood for many years until Frank Clarke and Anquan Boldin surpassed them.
    He was the first Redskins player to record 12 receiving touchdowns in a season (1952).
    He finished his NFL playing career with 5,233 receiving yards and 58 touchdowns.
    He was listed as one of the 70 Greatest Redskins (2002).
