    He made a lot of errors and grounded into a lot of double plays.
    Early in his career, he struggled to keep his average over .200.
    MLB suspended him for 105 games after he tested positive for amphetamines twice (August 17, 2013).

    He won the Home Run Derby in 2004.
    He grew up poor after his family lost their house to a hurricane in 1979.
    After signing his contract with the Orioles, the first thing he did with the money was donate to hurricane victims in the Dominican Republic.
    He rarely missed a game.
