Monarch

The Resume

    (circa 1328-May 13, 1382)
    Born in Naples, Italy
    Queen of Naples (1343-1382)
Claimant to the thrones of Jerusalem and Sicily

Why she might be annoying:

    She married four times.
She allegedly had her first husband Andrew, a Hungarian prince, murdered.
She was also accused of cheating on Andrew.
She fled the kingdom when her former in-laws invaded.
She let the pope choose her fourth husband.
Shortly after the marriage came the Papal Schism, where she supported the anti-pope instead of the pope.
As a result, the pope excommunicated her and offered her throne to someone else. (Oops!)

Why she might not be annoying:

She was orphaned as a child and raised by her grandfather, King Robert the Wise.
She had three children who all died in early childhood.
Half her subjects died in the Black Death.
The pope's hand-picked heir to her throne, Charles, duke of Durazzo, had her imprisoned and suffocated to death.
She was the only reigning queen in Europe during the fourteenth century.
