Played for the Los Angeles Express (1984-1985), Minnesota Vikings (1986-1992) and the Denver Broncos (1993-1997)
Seven time Pro-Bowl participant
Named All-Pro (1987-1989, 1992-1996)
Inducted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame (2008)

Why he might be annoying:

He played for a team that was part of the now defunct United States Football League.
He played for one of the most frugal teams in NFL history (the Vikings).
Despite being drafted by the New York Giants in the 1984 NFL draft, he was a supplemental draft pick. Therefore he never played with the team.
Some think he was the dark horse in the Denver Broncos.

Why he might not be annoying:

His teammate during his tenure with the Express was fellow Hall of Famer, Steve Young.
He was named part of the NFL's 1980's and 1990's All Decade Team.
He is one of seven NFL players enshrined in the Pro-Football Hall of Fame that also played in the USFL.
He quoted the Dalai Lama in his enshrinement acceptance speech.
Many teammates consider him one of the most nicest guys in the NFL.
