    Portrayed Paul Drake in 'Perry Mason' (1957-66)
    Appeared in the films 'Public Wedding' (1937), 'The Footloose Heiress' (1937), 'Mystery House' (1938), 'The High and the Mighty' (1954), 'Conquest of Space' (1955), 'Rebel Without A Cause' (1955), 'The Bad Seed' (1956), 'The Deadly Mantis' (1957) and '20 Million Miles To Earth' (1957)
    He was pushed into acting by his mother.
    During an eight-year hiatus from acting, he worked as a car salesman.
    His last film appearance was an uncredited part in the godawful 'Myra Breckinridge.' (1970)
    He was a Navy frogman during World War II, winning a Bronze Star for heroism.
    He did not exploit his mother's influence to further his acting career.
    He was nominated for an Emmy as best supporting actor for 'Perry Mason.'
