Why they might be annoying:

It's hard to find a lake in Los Angeles.
They rarely acknowledge their years in Minneapolis, even though they won their first five titles there.
They have become the NBA's version of the Yankees, as many basketball fans dislike them and players such as Karl Malone jump on their team in order to get elusive rings.
They are notorious for their late-arriving fans, especially the celebrities who care more about being seen than watching the game.
Every time they win a championship or host an All-Star game, Shaq yells at the crowd, 'Can you dig it?! Can you dig it?!'
They play in the Staples Center.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their 'Showtime' teams, which featured Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy, won five championships in the 1980's.
They have won more games than any other NBA team.
Only the Boston Celtics have won more titles.
Their playoff games against the Celtics, especially the Magic Johnson-Bird match-ups of the 1980's, have become legendary.
They were the first and last team to three-peat (1952-54, 2000-02).
They won five titles in their first six NBA seasons.
They appeared in the NBA Finals in nearly half of the seasons.
They won 33 straight games, which is a record for all major U.S. leagues (1971-72).
They have the record for most overtime wins in a season without a loss, with seven (1961-62).
Their late Chick Hearn broadcasted 3,338 straight Laker games, an NBA record.
