Politician

The Resume

    (August 27, 1952- )
    Born in Norwalk, Connecticut
    Roger Jason Stone Jr.
    Political consultant/strategist, lobbyist
Author of 'The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ' (2013), 'Nixon's Secrets: The Rise, Fall and Untold Truth about the President, Watergate, and the Pardon' (2014), 'The Clintons' War on Women' (2015), 'he Making of the President 2016: How Donald Trump Orchestrated a Revolution' (2017), and 'Stone's Rules: How to win at Politics, Business, and Style' (2018)
Notable for his association with Donald Trump, as a casino business lobbyist and later political advisor
Worked for Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan
Subject of the Netflix documentary film, 'Get Me Roger Stone' (2017)
Arrested by the FBI on charges of obstruction, witness tampering and making false statements relative to the Mueller-Russia investigation (Jan. 25, 2019)

Why he might be annoying:

    He is a shameless provocateur.
He has a tattoo of Richard Nixon’s face in the middle of his back.
He was accused of instigating a near-riot at a 2000 Florida recount location.
He is BFFs with Alex Jones.
He has repeatedly claimed to have survived assassination attempts (via poisonings, hit-and-runs, etc.).
His book 'The Man Who Killed Kennedy' promotes an offensive and debunked conspiracy theory that LBJ was behind a conspiracy to have the President assassinated.
He has been accused of attempting to get information about hacked Democratic emails from WikiLeaks to aid Donald Trump's bid for the presidency.
He flashed Nixon’s trademark ‘victory’ sign walking out of federal court following his arrest.
He remains lap-doggishly loyal to Donald Trump despite the President's obvious dislike of him, having dismissed him from his 2016 campaign early on and referring to him as 'a loser' in 2008.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is flamboyant in his fashion tastes.
He worked for Bob Dole and Jack Kemp.
His first foray into politics (he claims) was as a first grader supporting JFK, and claiming to his classmates that Nixon supported making Saturday a school day.
He had been encouraging Trump to run for President as early as 1998.
When asked if the President would pardon him if convicted, he said: 'The only person I have advocated a pardon for is Marcus Garvey.'
He is upfront about his Machiavellian nature, as opposed to being two-faced (his two favorite mottos: 'Attack, attack, attack—never defend' and 'Admit nothing, deny everything, launch counterattack').
When he was asked to respond to viewers who would hate him when the credits roll at the end of 'Get Me Roger Stone,' he answered: 'I revel in your hatred, because if I weren't effective you wouldn't hate me.'
