Flex Magazine named him the fifth greatest bodybuilder of all time.
He avoided publicity, not even doing interviews in his heyday, letting his performances speak for themselves.

Percentage wise, he is the most successful professional bodybuilder of all time: in twenty professional contests he won 17, came in second twice, and in his first contest came in seventh.
He suffered many injuries during his career and won the 1997 Mr. Olympia while nursing a torn bicep.
He is retired and living in Spain with his wife, a professional model and retired bodybuilder herself.
