Why he might be annoying:

He was a batboy at the age of 3.
He was almost involved in a home plate collision when he went onto the field to retrieve a bat when the game was still in play.
His dad faced a lot of scrutiny from his family as a result of the incident.
Major League Baseball installed the Darren Baker rule the following season which prevents kids being no younger than 14 from being batboys.
His dad admits he was too preoccupied with the game instead of on his son at the time of the incident.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was named after former Giant Darren Lewis.
The image of him getting carried off the field by J.T. Snow remains a classic image from the 2002 World Series.
He has many years to wait to become a batboy again.
