    (December 4, 1966- )
    Born in Lansing, Michigan
CNN White House correspondent (2002- )
Substitute host for 'The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer'
Named lunchtime anchor for 'CNN Newsroom' (2011)
She tweets on Twitter while covering Presidential trips.
During a Democratic presidential candidates debate (November 15, 2007), she asked Barack Obama, 'You said in a TV interview just this past weekend you didn't believe that Senator Clinton was able to unite this country. Why do you believe she can't?'; what Obama had actually said on Meet the Press was 'I believe that I can more effectively than any other candidate in this race bring the country together.'
She interviewed her identical twin sister Suzette about Elaine Kagan's nomination for the Supreme Court. (Suzette is an associate professor at the Columbus School of Law, so I guess she qualifies as an expert, but still....)
She competes in marathons and triathlons.
She was a member of the CNN team that won a Peabody Award for its coverage of Hurricane Katrina.
She said about being a black journalist, 'It’s so important that I feel like I’m representing people who couldn’t even imagine that we could be in that kind of position.'
