Why they might be annoying
Their whole gimmick is that they're a group of cellists playing metal.
Their first album consisted of Metallica covers, while most of their second album was also cover-heavy.
The songs of theirs that charted on rock charts in the U.S. have a nu metal sound.
They have sided with Greenpeace on at least one occasion.
'Not Strong Enough' on their album '7th Symphany' was written by Diane Warren. Yes, that Diane Warren.
Why they might not be annoying
They started recording more original material in order to remain relevant.
The cellists are graduates of Helsinki's Sibelius Academy, which is one of the biggest music schools in Europe.
'Bittersweet' reached number one on the singles chart in their native Finland.
They have performed in some 50 countries over the course of their career.
Guest vocalists have included Gavin Rossdale, Lacuna Coil vocalist Cristina Scabbia, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Till Lindemann of Rammstein. Famed Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo has also played on a number of their songs.
