    He bounced around between four different NHL teams and the minors after he was traded from the Bruins.
    His scoring touch evaporated upon being traded to the Rangers.
    His tenure with the Blues was derailed by a knee injury, which ended his NHL career.
    He was two games short of 800 career games played in the NHL when he retired.
    He sported a 24–44–4 record over two seasons at Northeastern University.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He served as the Bruins team captain for two seasons.
    In addition to playing hockey, he was a solid baseball player, and was offered a contract by the Brooklyn Dodgers, which he declined (1954).
    He earned recognition by hockey pundits for his clean style of play.
    He was a member of the inaugural Blues roster (1967-68).
