Why he might be annoying:

    He shares his name with the Hall of Fame basketball player.
    He was the NL leader for committing errors twice (1972 and 1974).
    Despite having a good performance in the 1978 World Series with a .423 batting average, the Dodgers lost the series to the New York Yankees in 6 games.
    His throwing became inconsistent in the later stages of his playing career due to a finger injury.
    The Dodgers fired him along with general manager Fred Claire as the team had a 36-38 start (June 1998).

    He won a combined total of two World Series rings with the Dodgers as a player (1981) and as a coach (1988).
    He was the first Dodger to smack two triples in one game at Dodger Stadium (August 5, 1970).
    The 1978 season was his best season of his career as he recorded 179 hits with a .286 batting average.
    He took over for Tommy Lasorda as manager at the time Lasorda was having a heart attack.
    During his time as the Dodgers' acting manager, the team finished the rest of the 1996 season by winning 49 games resulting in them a third straight playoff appearance.
