Relief pitcher for the San Francisco Giants (1959-1961), Chicago White Sox (1962-1966, 1972-1973), Baltimore Orioles (1966-1967), Cleveland Indians (1968), California Angels (1969-1972) and the St. Louis Cardinals (1973)

He shares his name with the singer.
He became a journeyman player after he left the White Sox.
He never pitched in a game with the Orioles during the 1966 World Series.
He only made one All Star selection throughout his career.
