    The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

    It allows some criminals to walk because the evidence was not obtained legally.
    It protects subversive organizations.
    Under the guise of national security, this amendment is broken routinely.
    The Supreme Court routinely weakens this amendment with judicial exceptions.
    It originally allowed citizens to resist arrest and even holding law officers financially responsible for wrong arrests.
