Why MLB Network might be annoying
Major League Baseball attempted to create a similar network back in 1993.
The nasty 1994-1995 Major League Baseball players strike forced the league to drop its plans.
Baseball was the last major sporting league to create a network dedicated to its own league.
Unlike NBA TV and NFL Network which airs its shows in the 1080p format, the channel broadcasts in the 720p format.
Despite the fact that Canada has the Toronto Blue Jays, the network, as of 2009, is subject to blackouts.
As of 2010, the network's headquarters are located in MSNBC's former studios in Seacacus, New Jersey.
Why MLB Network might not be annoying
It gives baseball fanatics something to watch all year round.
Not only does it air live baseball games, it airs reruns of classic baseball games.
They also televise documentaries chronicling the sport itself.
The show's signature series 'MLB Tonight' gives daily recaps going on around MLB and the world of baseball.
