    (December 21, 1951- )
    London, England
Founding member of glam rock band Sweeney Todd
Recorded number one hit 'Hot Child In The City'
    He was a one-hit wonder.
His only U.S. hit was an ode to a teenaged prostitute.
    He has an effeminate voice.
Rolling Stone magazine called him 'The Nabokov of the Jukebox' for his penchant for singing about underage bad girls.
It took 20 weeks for 'Hot Child In The City' to reach number one on the Billboard charts.
He went solo after leaving his band Sweeney Todd, which was also a one-hit wonder. Their only hit was about a raunchy groupie who liked to give blow jobs.
He found more success as a songwriter, scoring hits for Joe Cocker, Bette Midler, Pat Benatar, and Scandal.
He wrote 'Hot Child In The City' after becoming distressed from seeing so many young hookers on Hollywood Boulevard.
He has rejoined Sweeney Todd and is successfully touring the Canada circuit.
