Another badly dressed Russian male skater.
He is tall for singles skating.
Many of his moves were rather mannered and feminine.
He criticized American and Canadian skaters for their lack of artistry.
He fathered two children out of wedlock.
He is one of the least-remembered Olympic champions.

Why he might not be annoying:

His style is balletic and classical.
A serious groin injury curtailed his competitive career in 1997.
If it had not been for his groin injury, he would have been a cinch for a second gold medal in 1998.
He became a respected skating coach in Russia.
He eventually married the mother of his children.
