Sports Executive
    (January 17, 1953- )
    Born in Atlanta, Texas
    Graduate of Southern Methodist University
Played linebacker for 10 years with the Houston Oilers
Served as Vice President of Football Operations (2000-2004)
Was hired as General Manager of the Green Bay Packers in 2005
He is single, and there are rumors that he may be homosexual. (Not that there's anything wrong with that)
He was never a starter with Houston.
When he was first hired by the Packers, then coach/GM Mike Sherman began losing interest in the team and led the team to a 4-12 season.
Many fans criticized him for cutting players Mike Wahle and Darren Sharper and not taking an active role in free agency.
He often says 'quite frankly' during interviews.
He hired an unknown Mike McCarthy as the Packer's head coach in 2006, even though he had coached the league's worst offense the previous season.
Many people felt he could have worked harder to trade for Randy Moss in 2007.
During the 2006 season, many petitions and websites demanding his dismissal began popping up on the internet.
Many of those websites and petitions have disappeared after the Packers' hot start to the 2007 season.
Many ludicrous conspiracy theories were made by Mike Sherman fans, including one that said he was paid all of the left over money on the Packers' salary cap, even though the salary cap is only used to pay for players.
Most of his player decisions end up being the right ones.
He is reportedly very popular with his players.
He is very modest and doesn't hog the spotlight.
During his tenure in Seattle, he was responsible for drafting Shaun Alexander, Josh Brown, and Steve Hutchinson, among many others.
He is known for acquiring hard-working players of good character.
