Premise: The residents of a rural town, after a nuclear attack on America

Why Jericho might be annoying:

Hal Boedeker of Orlando Sentinel called it 'The fall's biggest disappointment' while David Bianculli of the New York Daily News wrote 'It's not only about a bomb. It is one.'
Many TV reviewers saw the storytelling getting weaker, episode by the episode.
It was cancelled in 2007 after just one season.
The series was cancelled after a cliffhanger episode.
Each episode begins with a clue in Morse code. Who knows Morse code any more?
    The ratings consistently shrunk.
The premise of survivors after an attack is one of the oldest and least creative plot lines.
The show's tagline was hokey 'Today is the Last Ordinary Day.'
Tom Shales of the Washington Post wrote 'Jericho has managed to make nuclear war look boring.'
Many critics feel that this should have been broadcasted during the cold war.

Why Jericho might not be annoying:

Fans petitioned CBS to bring back the series and they did.
It has been compared to Lost and <12424>24<12424>.
It relies on paranoia, similar to a Twilight Zone, where we become our own worst enemy.
The writers strike may have helped the series by giving CBS empty time slots.
Characters created on the web site become part of the series.
CBS received over 20 tons of nuts for cancelling the series. It was a takeoff from the finale when asked Why do we fight and the general says 'Nuts!'
The nuts were donated to charity and raised money to help rebuild Greensburg, Kansas.
Kansas City Star's Aaron Barnhart called it 'A gripping, one-of-a-kind drama.'
