    Series regular on 'Hawaii Five-O,' 'The Asphalt,' 'Zero One' and 'Laredo'
    Appeared in TV mini-series 'Rich Man, Poor Man'
    Attended the University of Munich, Syracuse University and graduated cum laude from UCLA
    Received the Silver Spur Award in 2008 and the Golden Boot Award in 2003 in honor of his work in westerns

Why he might be annoying:

    He's appeared in a lot of crap: biker movies, grade B scifi and westerns and even softcore porn!
    He appeared as the Marlboro Man in a cigarette commercial.
    He smoked for many years himself.
    He's never received or even been nominated for an award for his acting.
    In some of his movies he is credited as 'Big Bill' Smith

Why he might not be annoying:

    His family had to move from Missouri to California when he was a child when their ranch failed due to the Depression and the Dust Bowl.
    He served in the US Air Force in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart.
    He speaks five languages including Russian which he taught at UCLA in the late fifties.
    He was an outstanding athlete in his youth; he had a 31-1 record as an amateur boxer, could reverse curl his own body weight, skied in AAU competition and once held the AAU discus record.
    Despite usually being cast for his physique he is capable of playing complex roles and is particularly adept at playing emotionally unbalanced characters.
    His fight scene with Clint Eastwood in 'Any Which Way You Can' was a blast!
    His biker move,'Run, Angel, Run' was made in 13 days for one hundred thousand dollars and made 13 million!
    Along with his acting he has directed, written, produced and even performed as a stuntman.
