Philosopher
    (circa 570 BC-circa 502 BC)
He was a student of Anaximander.
He was the first Chicken Little, saying, 'What if heaven falls?'
According to his philosophical system, everything, including the gods and human souls was made out of air.
He believed that the Earth was flat, and that the sun never went under the Earth, but circled it laterally, sometimes obscured by higher parts, which caused the night.
He correctly theorized what hail was.
His theories were based on observation.
