Why he might be annoying:

He shares his name with an offensive lineman.
The Orioles didn't think too much of his franchise player status and dealt him to Toronto shortly after the 1987 season.
He spent the majority of the 1983 and 1985 seasons on injury reserve.
The final seasons of his career were plagued with inconsistency.
Like his predecessors, he tends to sign and overpay players who are either oft-injured or past their prime.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a dominating pitcher during his prime years.
He was one of four pitchers who pitched a shutout (1991).
He was viewed as being a workhorse by baseball pundits.
He became the first pitcher in the history of the modern day Orioles franchise to win a Cy Young award.
He held off his retirement for one more season while the team moved from Memorial Stadium to Camden Yards (1992).
