    (February 16, 1891-September 25, 1968)
    Born in Freiburg, Germany
Full name was Hans Friedrich Karl Günther
Race theorist and eugenicist in Weimar Germany and the Third Reich
Wrote 'A Short Ethology of the German People' (1929) and 'Racial Characteristics of the Jewish People' (1935)
Claimed that tall, blonde Nordics were the founders of almost all culture
    Nicknamed 'Rassenpapst' ('the race Pope')
He joined the Nazi Party (1932).
He wrote that Jews were 'a thing of ferment and disturbance, a wedge driven by Asia into the European structure.'
He claimed that when Jews and Christians married, their children were prone to being 'psychopaths and neurotics,' 'physical deviants,' or criminals.
His 'scientific' justification for Nazi racial policies got him lauded as 'pride of the NSDAP.'
He continued advocating eugenics ideas, including sterilization of the less intelligent, after World War II.
    He was a Holocaust denier.
He served with the Red Cross during World War I.
His preferred 'solution' to the 'Jewish problem' was the relatively benign resettlement (by force if necessary) of European Jews to Palestine.
A post-WWII court concluded that he had not been an instigator of Nazi Germany's racial policies.
