Why he might be annoying:

He bought his whiskey distillery when he was thirteen.
He broke his toe when he forgot the combination to his safe and angrily kicked it. He caught an infection in his toe and died six years later.
No one really knows why he named his whiskey 'Old No. 7.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He started working at age seven.
He was one of 13 siblings.
He was the first to register a distillery in the United States (1866).
Since he never married and never had children, he handed the distillery over to his nephew, Lem Motlow, who incorporated it in 1944.
He makes Coke a better drink.
