    The Premise:
Young rising TV exec is offered a low paying job to rescue the country's lowest rated morning show in Miami.
Although not interested he only checks it out as a combination vacation and a chance to visit his grandmother.
There is an instant dislike between him and the talent of the show.
As he is ready to turn down the job, the hot hairstylist, catches his eye and he decides to put his career on hold and take the job to get an opportunity at her.
He finds out she is in a relationship and that is with the news anchor, so he plots to win her (so far makes sense, but ...)
He eventually gets the girl, gets a high paying network job and they relocate to New York - all perfect.
No! He finds out the Miami show is having problems without him.
Those are the same people who he loathes and they dislike him, but he quits his high paying job and returns to Miami.
When he get there, his job has been filled and he takes a lower job so he can help them.

Why Good Morning, Miami might be annoying:

The show is a train wreck.
Not one of the characters is realistic or fleshed out.
The show is filled with stereotypes - young up and coming nerdish Jewish executive, hot midwestern girl, hip wisecracking gambling grandmother, old Jews living in Miami, wise ass assistant, fumbling executive, hot heavily accented Latina host, good looking recovering alcoholic waspish airheaded host, etc.
The show is in and out of hiatus. NBC usually removes it during the important sweeps period.
Parts of the pilot had to be reshot for television, because the roles of Gavin and Penny were recast. Also Suzanne Pleshette's character relationship was changed from Jake's aunt to grandmother.
They write characters in and out of the show for no rhyme or reason.
They dropped both the Latina co-host and nun/weather reporter without explanation.
An episode 'It Didn't Happen One Night' never aired. They can not show it in first run, because some characters were written out.
Some characters make no sense. Penny who works as a low level assistant, keeps it a secret that she comes from a wealthy family and had an ivy league education. Although she is in love with the producer, she sleeps with the show host.
The original weather person was a feisty nun who is sister to the station manager (yet they have different last names).
Because the shows were shown out of sequence, the continuity is all screwed up. For example, in some episodes there are conversations about things that have not yet happened.
Harry Hamlin appeared in an episode and all his scenes were cut.
The role of Roberta Diaz was originally to be portrayed by Rita Moreno but given to Fran Drescher.
TV Guide renamed 'Jake's Nuts Roasting on an Open Fire' to 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.'
They filmed a storyline where Frank accused Claire of stealing, it was removed from the show.
A scene with Ashley Williams in her bra never made it on air.

Why Good Morning, Miami might not be annoying:

The show is mindless escapism entertainment.
The show is filled with good looking people to maintain the audience.
Ashley Williams has a very sexy overbite.
Mark Feuersetein was name to People Magazine's Most Beautiful People.
In a cross promotion, they used the 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' to redecorate an apartment.
The last episode of the first season was advertised as the 'Series Finale.' However the ratings were so good that the show returned for the 2003-04 season.
