She had ample opportunities to escape from her concentration camp, but refused help.
Her spirituality may actually have been craziness.
Her diaries and letters have been overshadowed by her fellow countrywoman, Anne Frank.
Why she might not be annoying
She wanted to be a witness to Nazi atrocities.
While at the camp in the Netherlands, she underwent enormous spiritual growth.
She refused to hate her oppressors.
She threw a postcard from the train that would take her to the gas chambers at Auschwitz that simply stated, 'we left the camp singing.'
A school and museum are named after her.
