Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

Like his grandfather, he goes by the nickname ‘Yaz.’
He was drafted three times in the Major League Baseball Draft.
He came off as arrogant when he stated he planned to go to college if he wasn’t selected in the first round of the Major League Baseball Draft.
Some baseball pundits hyped him up due to his last name and family lineage in the sport.
He was traded to San Francisco for a career minor league player, which later wound up being a steal for the Giants.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the grandson of Boston Red Sox legend Carl Yastrzemski.
Despite being a member of the Giants, he caught the ceremonial first pitch from his grandfather prior to playing his first game at Fenway Park (September 17, 2019).
He was the first Giants rookie in 47 years to record 20 or more home runs in a single season.
He recorded 30 home runs in his first 151 career games, making him the third Giant to accomplish the feat.
He proves his worth to the Giants by exceeding all expectations, and doing it all on a modest salary.
