    Pop/rock band formed in Atlanta
    1976 line-up:
Bruce Blackman - lead vocals, keyboards
    Bo Wagner - percussion
    Sloan Hayes - keyboards
    Jimmy Cobb - bass
    David Snavely - drums
    Tommy Strain - guitar
    Ron Norris - vocals
    Recorded 'Moonlight Feels Right'
They are a one hit wonder.
Before settling on Starbuck, they called themselves Extravanganza.
Original vocalist Elgin Wells quit before recording began because their music producer didn't want any Wells penned tunes on the LP.
After 'Moonlight Feels Right' the group went through various line-up changes, never had another hit and disbanded in 1980.
Yet another group that put out a 'Best Of' LP with just one hit to their name.
After Starbuck, co-founder Blackman established Zoogster, a large online retailer of costumes.
Before Starbuck, Wagner was successful as the musical director for Liberace.
When 'Moonlight Feels Right' was released in 1975 it flopped, but when re-released in the spring of 1976, it made it to #3 on Billboard's Singles charts and sold over three million copies.
The single is the first (and possibly only) Top 40 song that has a marimba solo in the middle of it.
During their heyday they opened for powerhouse '70s bands like Boston, ELO, Seals & Crofts, KC & the Sunshine Band and Hall & Oates.
