    They did the soundtrack to the blaxploitation classic 'Sweet Sweetback's Baadassss Song.'
    They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2000).
    They recorded 'Boogie Wonderland' with The Emotions.
    Maurice White now has Parkinson's Disease and can no longer tour with the band.
    Maurice's brother, Verdine White is married to ex-Honey Cone singer Shellie Clark.
