Why she might be annoying:

She declared ‘Annie Oakley is done for’ after joining Buffalo Bill’s show, but she was never as big a draw and eventually faded into obscurity.
She was married and divorced five times.
In her later years, she claimed to be a Sioux and performed as ‘Princess Wenona.’

Why she might not be annoying:

At 14, she shot 100 glass globes thrown in the air in 2 minutes, 35 seconds, beating the world record (held by an adult man) by a second.
She could shoot out the ace in a playing card – while holding the rifle on her shoulder backwards and looking at the target in a mirror.
Buffalo Bill Cody offered a purse of $10,000 to anyone who could outshoot her; no one ever claimed it.
