Why she might be annoying:

Her parents named her Kattie and named her sister Hattie.
She married Joseph Jackson knowing that he was a philanderer, but had vowed never to divorce him no matter what.
She and Joe did not practice birth control (or restraint, for that matter).
She converted to Jehovah's Witness and kept her children isolated from non-Witnesses.
She stood by while her husband physically abused their children and forced them into show business.
She is often portrayed as the diminutive, passive motherly type to Joe's womanizing, battering image.
In 1980, Katherine was sued by 19-year-old Gina Sprague, who had been Joe's secretary, and alleged that Katherine, Randy, and Janet savagely beat her in broad daylight, in full view of witnesses, because they believed she was sleeping with Joseph (So much for being passive).
She gave birth to adulterers, lolitas, a stripper, a failed actress, a horribly accident-prone boy, and an alleged child molester who mutilated his face and destroyed his complexion.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her son Brandon died shortly after birth.
Her children consider her a saint.
She had early ambitions to be a country western singer.
She taught her children to sing.
